Indian Team Celebrating

The Indian Cricket Team in last 2-3 years have crossed many milestones and improved a lot. The team is currently rank Number-1 in Test, 2nd in ODI and 5th in T-20 format but with the current form they will soon be at the top of all three formats. With the captaincy of Virat Kohli and amazing form of MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and the young spinners, this team can chase or defend any title on the board.

After the Australian series win this month, the team reached at the top of the ranking in both Test and ODI formats together but slipped to the 2nd in ODI after South Africa gaining few points extra. But the team has a long race ahead to run with 4 ODI, 3 Test and 4 T-20 Series before the 2019 World Cup. Following are the detailed analysis of Indian Team Ranking (October, 2017) in all the 3 formats-

ODI RANKING –

Indian Cricket Team ODI Ranking

As far as ODI ranking is concern, India and South Africa have a neck-to-neck competition with Rating-120 each. It is just the matter of matches that India had played less, which makes them 2nd in the chart. The team has done very well in past by winning the series with Australia but has to climb some tough peaks ahead in South Africa and England next year. However, for now the Indian Cricket Team can make a huge lead in the points chart by winning the next two home series with New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

TEST RANKING –

Indian Cricket Team Test Ranking

In Test Ranking, India has managed to put a good lead over South Africa with 14 points. But the team has to perform more in terms of maintaining the top position. There are 3 upcoming Test series with Sri Lanka, South Africa and England where India has to give their best to maintain their top rank.

T-20 RANKING –

As far as the T-20 format is concern the blue squad is at number 5 with Points-2545 and Rating-116. With the last draw (1-1) series with Australia, Team India didn’t move up in the ranking list but can improve in the upcoming series with New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa and England. There are 12 matches to be played in total with all these teams combine, so there are lot many opportunities for Team India to Rank-1 in the list.

INDIAN WOMEN’S TEAM RANKING (Tests, ODIs and T20I combine)-

Indian Cricket Team Women's Ranking

The Women in Blue proud India recently by their mesmerizing performance in the in the ODI World Cup this year. The runner up team performed very well and were appreciated personally by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. They are 4th in the ranking list but with their current form, they can surly reach to the top of the list.

For now, India Indian Cricket Team has 3 major series coming in this and next year with New Zeeland, Sri Lanka and South Africa and England where we can try every option available and make the best team out of it for the 2019 World Cup. Series with New Zealand and Sri Lanka is in India itself but the challenge will be in South Africa and England as there will be no home conditions and  I think this is also good for Indian Team as the World Cup is hosted by England itself.
